Terms of use

1 · Train sensibly

BitRep records training and suggests plans and weights from what you have logged. It is not a doctor, a physiotherapist or a coach, and nothing in it is medical advice. Get professional advice before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have an injury, a condition, or are pregnant. Stop if something hurts. You decide what you lift; the responsibility for that decision is yours.

2 · The beta

While BitRep is distributed through TestFlight it is pre-release software. Features will change, screens will move, and bugs are likely. Builds expire on Apple's schedule. Keep your own export of anything you would be upset to lose — Settings → Export, any time. Beta builds are for your own use; please don't publish screenshots of unreleased features without asking, and do tell us what broke.

3 · Your account

An account is optional — BitRep works fully without one. If you create one, give a real email address, keep your sign-in secure, and let us know if you think it has been used by someone else. You must be 13 or older to hold an account. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or abuse other people.

4 · Your data is yours

Your workouts, notes, plans and records belong to you. If you turn on an account, you give us only the permission needed to store, back up and restore that data for you — nothing more. We do not use it to train models, we do not publish it, and we do not sell it. How it is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

5 · BitRep Pro and payment

BitRep is free while in beta. If you later subscribe to Pro, the purchase is made through your Apple ID: Apple takes the payment, renews the subscription automatically until you cancel, and handles refunds under its own policy. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Prices may change with notice; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. If your subscription lapses, your history stays intact and Pro-only features switch off.

6 · Fair use

• Don't attack, overload, reverse-engineer for redistribution, or try to break into the service or other people's accounts.
• Don't resell BitRep or pass your account around.
• Don't use it to give anyone else medical or coaching advice dressed up as ours.
• The BitRep name, the wordmark, the creature art and the app's design are ours; using the app doesn't transfer them. Screenshots of your own training are yours to post.

7 · Availability and changes

We aim to keep BitRep working but cannot promise it is always available or error-free, and features may be added, changed or withdrawn. If we make a material change to these terms, the app will say so before it takes effect and the date at the top will move. You can stop using BitRep at any time by deleting it; you can delete your account from Settings. We may end your access if you break these terms.

8 · Liability

BitRep is provided as-is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not allow us to exclude. To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for injury arising from how you train, for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data where you have not kept an export. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

9 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
